Guyer and Aledo Win State Titles

The Highland Park football team lost only twice in 2013 — to Aledo in the season opener and to Denton Guyer in the fifth round of the playoffs. Both of those teams are now state champions. Guyer secured the Class 4A Division I title last night with a 31-14 win over San Antonio Brennan. This afternoon, Aledo cruised to a 38-10 victory over Brenham in the Class 4A Division II championship game.
