Highland Park carries plenty of momentum into its first run through the Class 6A Region II baseball playoffs, with 11 straight wins and a District 10-6A title.
The Scots (22-5) will meet Irving MacArthur in a best-of-three series this weekend, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Scotland. MacArthur will host the second game at 7:30 p.m. Friday, while the series will return to HP for a third game at 3 p.m. Saturday, if necessary.
The Cardinals (14-11) finished fourth in District 9-6A during the regular season. We’ll have more information on the matchup later this week.
