Goals were at a premium, but Highland Park still returned home without a loss in three games at the Round Rock ISD tournament over the weekend.
Megan O’Neal scored twice to lead the Lady Scots (3-1-2) to a 2-1 victory over Smithson Valley. HP’s other two tournament games ended in scoreless draws against Round Rock Cedar Ridge and Austin Vandegrift.
HP will continue nondistrict action on Friday with a home game against perennial Class 6A power Allen. The Lady Scots will then travel to face Richardson Pearce on Jan. 22.
