In their final meet of the regular season, the Highland Park girls recorded a runner-up finish in the team standings at the Rudder Invitational on Friday in Bryan.
Linda Tran led the way with a fourth-place result in the all-around standings. She was third on balance beam. Another freshman, Kennedy Downing, placed fifth on beam and seventh in all-around.
On the boys side, HP finished fourth as a team. Adam Elahmadi was the top individual gymnast with a third-place routine on floor exercise.
Both HP squads will start postseason competition on March 27-28 with a district meet in Irving.
