Greenhill earned a 2-1 road victory over Hockaday on Tuesday in a momentum-building SPC field hockey showdown at Grover Field.
The result pushes the Hornets into contention for a higher seed in the upcoming conference tournament next month in Houston. Hockaday topped Greenhill in the fifth-place game a year ago.
Lucia Ubinas scored the goal for the Daisies. The two teams played to a scoreless draw in their prior matchup on Sept. 2. Both squads will travel north to face Oklahoma City Casady and Tulsa Holland Hall on Friday and Saturday.
