Two Highland Park High School graduates have received Northern Texas PGA Foundation scholarships.
Harper Mallonee, who will study at the University of North Carolina, and Delaney Newberry, who will attend Texas A&M, have each been awarded $10,000 scholarships. They were two of five Junior Tour members from the North Texas area who received awards.
The contributions, given in partnership with global lifestyle company CJ Group, are part of a record-breaking year for the Northern Texas PGA Foundation. The Foundation is awarding a total of $947,500 in scholarships this spring, marking the highest annual sum in its history.
“We are so appreciative of the CJ Group. They are giving back to the community far beyond THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. This is a wonderful example of their investment in the next generation of golfers,” said Mark Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Texas PGA.
