Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia said a suspect was shot and taken into custody with "non-life-threatening injuries" after shooting at an officer involved in a pursuit of a U-Haul truck that'd been reported stolen in northwest Dallas near Love Field. No officers were injured.

New Snider Plaza Plan Nixes Proposed Green Spaces

An earlier proposed concept plan called for a linear green space along the 3400 block of Rosedale Avenue) and gathering space in the intersection of Snider Plaza and Rosedale Avenue that would have crosswalk connections to the Rosedale Green and a paved area, but the concept site plan city council members approved in June removed those in hopes of preserving parking spaces.

HPISD DARE, SRO Program Costs to Increase 8%

The town of Highland Park pays for 25% of the cost of these programs, and University Park covers the remaining 75%, as the city has more students enrolled in the district.
