The Shops at Park Lane will host a block party called Chefs on Fire this Sunday. Along with live music and kid-friendly activities, the event features cook-offs between 50 two-person teams, each one consisting of a Dallas-area chef and a Dallas-area firefighter. I once spent 24 hours in an Irving firehouse for a story, and believe me, those guys know how to cook. Proceeds benefit the Parkland Regional Burn Center.
