DMN has the story on this year’s Turkey Trot where HP dentist Melisa Christian brought home her fifth title in the annual Thanksgiving Day run:
The 36-year-old Highland Park dentist won the eight-mile women’s division race through the streets of downtown Dallas on Thursday in 47 minutes, 50 seconds.
“I thought my winning days were over,” Christian said. “Every year, life gets a little more complicated with a few more aches and pains.”
The story goes on to say Christian won four straight from 2006-2009 before overcoming a back injury earlier this year to get back to the top.
