We hand picked several couples from our coverage areas that are celebrating 50 years of marriage, give or take a few years, to take portraits of. These couples were all smiles during the shoots. A savvy way for me to lighten them up in front of the camera was to get them to look at each other. Photos by Chris McGathey and Allison Slomowitz.
