It’s time to clean out your medicine cabinet. You can dispose of your old and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday when the local law-enforcement groups participate in the annual Drug Enforcement Agency Take-Back Day.
The Highland Park Department of Public Safety, the University Park Police Department, and the SMU Police Department will accept unwanted medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can find other drop-off locations here.
In addition, UP will hold a free community recycling event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot at Highland Park Middle School. Among the items accepted are many paper products and documents, as well as electronics and computer supplies.
