Is there a veteran in your family? If so, you’ll want to reserve time for the Veterans Day Parade on your calendar. The Nov. 11 festivities start at 9 a.m. at City Hall with a pre-VIP reception, but the parade begins at 11:20 a.m. and wraps around the streets of downtown.

Outgoing Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions will take part in the pomp and circumstance, as will Dallas residents Vice Adm. David B. Robinson, Staff Sgt. Travis Mills, and Lt. Col. Bill Solemene.

Al Biernat’s will also host a VIP reception for participating veterans following the parade.
