Out & About: Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Fashion Notes Luncheon

Fashionable and philanthropic guests attended the 10th-annual Fashion Notes Designer Award luncheon and Style Show supporting the Dallas Symphony Oct. 12.

The event, co-chaired by Jada Mowles and Laura Price with honorary chairs Karen Cox and her daughter Isabella, at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center began with a silent auction and raffle before a fashion presentation, luncheon, and live auction.

Guests enjoyed the DSO Concert Truck, a traveling stage in an 18-ft box truck featuring pianists, and Young Strings musician Jacqui Torres playing her cello. Young violinist Alan Milan performed to accompany the models during the runway presentation.

“We are fortunate to have Jacqui Torres with us. We wanted you to have a firsthand experience with where your support lands after you leave here today,” said Dallas Symphony Orchestra League President Nancy Labadie. “What we are involved in changes lives and betters our community.”

The fashion presentation by Robyn Chauvin Productions featured pieces from LoveShackFancy and Fashion Notes Designer Award recipient Catalina Gonzalez’s lifestyle brand Dondolo and accessories by Milliard Diamond Concierge.

The DSOL collaborated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to fulfill the fashion wish of two critically ill children who modeled in the show and will visit with Gonzalez and explore her design studio in weeks to come.

Funds raised during the event will support outreach and educational programs offered by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
