University Park resident Paige Elliott’s connection to gardening runs deep.

“My mother instilled in me a profound love for gardens and the art of gardening, a passion that my husband and I continue to cultivate in our own lives,” she said.
No wonder the Realtor joined the WCDABG in 2016.
“This organization holds a special place in my heart as both a supporter of our community’s natural beauty and as a champion of women’s contributions to horticulture and environmental stewardship,” she said.
What kind of work does it do?
Our work encompasses fundraising, volunteer coordination, educational programming, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of this magnificent space that brings joy to thousands of visitors each year.
How did you get involved with this nonprofit?
While I officially joined the Women’s Council in 2016, I had been an admirer and supporter of A Woman’s Garden for many years prior to that formal involvement. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various capacities, including positions on the board and multiple committees. Currently, I’m honored to serve as President of the WCDABG, a role that allows me to help guide our mission and ensure that this incredible resource continues to flourish for future generations.
Why do you support it today?
A Woman’s Garden represents something truly extraordinary — it’s one of the largest public gardens in the country specifically dedicated to women. What makes this space so remarkable is that it’s a garden planned for women, by women, and sustained through the generous donations and tireless efforts of those who believe in its mission. This garden serves as both a sanctuary and an inspiration, demonstrating how women’s vision and dedication can create something that enriches our entire community.
What would you say to someone else considering a donation to the nonprofit this year?
