Even more sparkle is coming to deBoulle Diamond and Jewelry’s University Park location.
The UP City Council on July 1 green lighted plans to upgrade deBoulle’s home at 6821 Preston Road.
The renovation and remodel aims to give the boutique a more modern and elegant aesthetic. Its façade will be replaced to reflect a current, refined architectural style, and changes to the building’s interior will create an improved office and retail shopping experience.
The updates mean a loss of five parking spaces at deBoulle. The ordinance approved by the council requires the property’s owner to file agreements with nearby businesses and other entities to provide off-street valet parking during special events.
In other business, the city council read a proclamation declaring July as Parks and Recreation Month in University Park. This year’s theme is “Build Together, Play Together.” The city will host events throughout July to celebrate parks and recreation.
