Park Cities residents have long known that their school district is the state’s best, and now they have the marks to prove it.
Highland Park ISD has earned the highest grade among all 5A/6A public school districts in the state in the Texas Education Agency’s 2025 A-F Accountability Ratings, the district announced on Aug. 15.
HPISD received an A rating, and an overall score of 96 out of 100.
It outscored the three other high-performing districts that administrators often turn to as comparisons: Carroll ISD in Tarrant County, which received a 95, Lovejoy ISD in Collin County, which scored a 94, and Eanes ISD in Travis County, which also received a score of 94.

The Texas Education Agency’s annual ratings are based on student achievement, how well schools prepare students for the next grade or graduation, and whether schools ensure that all student groups are able to be successful.
