SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: FLAWED FLORALS

Reported at 2:49 p.m. on Sept. 30: A florist found herself in a thorny situation after entering a home on Glenwick Lane without consent.

UNIVERSITY PARK

29 Monday

Reported at 7:35 p.m.: A thief stole between $100 and $750 in property from a convenience store on Hillcrest Avenue.

30 Tuesday

A vehicle was reported burglarized at about 8:56 p.m. at a convenience store on Mockingbird Lane.

2 Thursday

Reported at 4:24 p.m. on Purdue Street: A fraudster made unauthorized ATM withdrawals from a man’s account.

3 Friday

Reported at 4:03 p.m.: An inept thief tried to steal items worth less than $100 from Tom Thumb on Villanova Drive.

A weak-willed thief stole property worth between $100 and $750 from a woman at the Moody Family YMCA on Preston Road.

4 Saturday

Reported at 12:39 a.m.: Police seized narcotics and cited a 39-year-old man after a traffic stop on Durham Street.

5 Sunday

A 27-year-old woman was arrested at about 7:52 p.m. on Preston Road for stealing between $100 and $750 from CVS and on warrants.

HIGHLAND PARK

29 Monday

A 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance at about 1:48 p.m. in the 3800 block of Beverly Drive.

A 51-year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief at about 2:22 p.m. in the 3500 block of Normandy Avenue.

30 Tuesday

Reported at 5:07 p.m.: A backyard bandit rummaged through a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 parked in an attached garage in the 4700 block of Bowser Avenue, and stole $5 and two bikes.

A 53-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container at about 9:44 p.m. in the 3300 block of Mockingbird Lane.

2 Thursday
Thieves may have gone on a petty crime spree in the 4300 block of Westside Drive at around 7:30 a.m., stealing at least three brass address plates.
