SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: RED MEANS STOP!

An impatient operator tried to pass a Jeep Grand Cherokee stopped at a red light at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Preston Road at about 3:05 p.m. on Nov. 1, but clipped the Jeep’s side mirror because there wasn’t enough room to enter the left turn lane, and then drove off without leaving information.

27 Monday

Reported at 7:31 a.m.: A criminal cruiser stole a 2022 GMC Sierra on Oct. 26 on Shenandoah Avenue.

Reported at 1:25 p.m.: A troublemaker caused between $750 and $2,500 in damage to a 2005 Chevy Tahoe on Daniel Avenue on Sept. 30.

Reported at 5:14 p.m.: A mischief maker caused between $750 and $2,500 in damage to a 2010 Lexus RX on Stanford Avenue.

Reported at 10:40 a.m.: A pedaling pilferer stole a bike on Stanford Avenue.

Reported at 7:35 a.m.: A thief in the night burglarized a 2024 GMC Sierra on Centenary Drive.

A 58-year-old man was arrested for evading arrest at about 10:43 a.m. on Centenary Drive.

Reported at 12:40 p.m.: Credit card fraud on Colgate Avenue.

A 61-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at about 11:46 p.m. on Mockingbird Lane.

1 Saturday

A woman was arrested on a warrant and for failing to identify herself at about 12:59 a.m. on Mockingbird Lane.

A thief stole a Chevy Avalanche from Villanova Drive at about 11 a.m.

Police arrested two not-so-sneaky thieves and recovered all the items they stole from CVS at about 6:26 p.m. on Westchester Drive.

A troublemaker broke the back window of a 2016 Ford F-150 in the 4000 block of Beverly Drive before 6:15 a.m.

Reported at 1:28 p.m.: A resident of the 3800 block of Gillon Avenue considered purchasing a car, only to discover that he had poor credit — a fraudster had used his information to open an illicit account in his name with a Georgia utility company which had an outstanding balance of more than $2,000.

30 Thursday

A 35-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at about 2:57 a.m. in the 5400 block of Fairfield Avenue.

1 Saturday

A 31-year-old man was arrested on multiple warrants at about 3:32 p.m. in the 4900 block of Byron Avenue.

The reckless roadster who hit the side mirror of a Toyota 4Runner in the 5400 block of Lomo Alto Drive before 10:45 a.m. may have picked up pieces of mirror and placed them on the hood of the vehicle, but did not leave a note to go with them.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant at about 6:31 p.m. in the 4500 block of Preston Road.
