Aaron Chosed-Fulenwider, an eighth-grade student at the Greenhill School, for winning three photography awards at the 2025 State Fair of Texas. Aaron earned Third Place in Black and White Architectural Features for Buildings/Monuments for his photo of Stonehenge. He also earned Honorable Mention in Color Architectural Features/Building/Monuments for his image of Windsor Castle and Honorable Mention in Color Scenery for a shot of leaves taken on the campus of the Greenhill School.

Anita Hullum, for receiving CC Young’s Ageless Creativity Award. The Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest celebrated its 25th year in 2025, and the contest continues to be one of CC Young’s most popular cultural events among residents and the public. The annual contest, art gallery show, and public celebration of artists and writers has served to unite the North Texas area in highlighting original works of art in 14 categories, showcasing each participant’s ageless artistry, ability to grow and thrive, and willingness to share their creativity and talents with the public. Hullum completed the artwork for which she received the award at age 100.

Caroline Hayes, who will represent Hockaday at the Poetry Out Loud State Competition in Austin in February. Congratulations to the other four finalists as well: Alyse Anderson, Jenny Chu, Navya Desai, and Christine Park.
