Registration is officially open for Dallas ISD’s universal pre-K program for 2026-2027.
The Dallas ISD board of trustees March 26 approved opening up the district’s pre-K program to all three and four year old students, without tuition.
Among the schools that offer pre-K in Preston Hollow are Prestonwood Montessori at E.D. Walker, Preston Hollow Elementary School, Arthur Kramer Elementary, George B. Dealey Montessori, Harry C. Withers Elementary School, John J. Pershing Elementary School, Marcus Leadership Academy, Everette Lee Degolyer Elementary School, F.P. Caillet Elementary School, and Walnut Hill International Leadership Academy.
Currently, to qualify for free pre-K per state requirements, the students must either be eligible to participate in the free or reduced lunch program, have an active duty military parent, have a parent working as a teacher in the district, be unable to speak or understand English based on preLAS score, have been in foster care, or be homeless. The district also offers scholarships.
The tuition rate for pre-K for the 2025-2026 school year is $5,500, according to the district’s website.
