An “external production company” filming along Hillcrest Road and on the SMU campus will lead to road closures in the coming days.

Part of Hillcrest Road will be closed from Daniel Avenue to Lovers Lane from 2 to 4 p.m. July 12, with detours in place to allow access to Snider Plaza, according to the city of University Park.

One lane of southbound Hillcrest will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 10 and July 13 for pre and post-filming.

SMU Boulevard from Airline to Bush Avenue will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 12.

It’s unclear what project is filming in University Park over the next few days, but Taylor Sheridan’s “Frisco King” recently filmed in Highland Park Village.
