Taylor Sheridan-helmed shows have filmed in various locations across North Texas. Wednesday, for the first time, one filmed in Highland Park Village.
Taylor Sheridan’s Frisco King, the Paramount+ Tulsa King spinoff starring Samuel L. Jackson, which has reportedly been filming in other parts of North Texas, filmed a scene at the shopping center Wednesday.
Shops were open for business as usual, with security on hand to direct shoppers and diners.
While it doesn’t specifically mention Frisco King, the city of University Park also shared in a post on social media that “an external production company will be filming on SMU campus on Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28, resulting in various road closures in the area.”
Those closures include:
- SMU Boulevard between Airline Road and Bush Avenue will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 28.
- Durham Street between Daniel Avenue and University Boulevard will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, May 27, from noon to 8 p.m.
- There will be intermittent road closures on Daniel Avenue, University Boulevard, Airline Road, Bush Avenue, and SMU Boulevard.
- Additionally, parking adjacent to Burleson Park along University, Durham, and Daniel will be unavailable both days between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
