Good morning Park Cities! My name is Brad Pearson (though my fancy byline says Bradford Pearson) and I’ll be your new Park Cities beat reporter. I come to your humble towns from Baltimore, Md., where I last covered Medicare and Medicaid reform, and its implications on medical businesses. Before that I worked for a paper similar to Park Cities People called The Gazette, based in Gaithersburg, Md.
(The picture above is from a Gazette story when the Westboro Baptist Church protested at a local high school. I don’t regularly hang out with teenagers.)
I’m originally from New York, then moved to Philadelphia for college, and Washington D.C. for work. Dallas, thus far, has been a very different experience for me, starting with the fact that my apartment building doesn’t recycle. I’m going to chalk this up to being a charming Texas experience, and look for a blue bin somewhere in my neighborhood.
Feel free to call or e-mail me with any story ideas or news tips. Oh and I’m also on Twitter, which I’ll use for work as well as pleasure. If you see me on the street, say hi.
