Aspiring princesses, demon hunters, and tap dancers will all find their place this summer at Preston Hollow Dance. In addition to the classics, the studio is offering a unique, pop-culture inspired spin on the camp experience.
Owner and artistic director Belinda Richardson was particularly excited about her 2026 camp lineup.
“We are a small studio with a big heart,” she said. “Every family that walks through our door is welcomed with a smile and a sense of community.”
The studio’s offerings include a June Princess Camp and July KPop Demon Hunters Camp. Read on for the details, including an Oscar-winning soundtrack and magical mentors.
Princess Camp (ages 3-5)
June 15–19
Inspired by popular animated royal role models, including Mulan, Belle, and Cinderella, PHD Princess Camp will include dance lessons, games, and crafts. Classic movie clips will also make a cameo appearance, and the week will conclude with a special in-studio dance presentation for parents.
“This camp will focus on foundational ballet technique, sprinkled with creative movement,” Richardson said. “We will also introduce basic ‘princess etiquette’ in a fun and age-appropriate way.”
KPop Demon Hunters Camp (ages 4-7+)
July 13-17
A second camp is inspired by the mythical and empowering world of the KPop Demon Hunters. Elementary-age campers will learn two routines set to “Golden” and “How It’s Done” from the Oscar-winning animated adventure’s soundtrack. The week will wrap up with a showcase starring the newly-minted honorary pop stars and is all centered on a meaningful message.
“This camp encourages dancers to embrace their full identity — imperfections included — while celebrating their individuality and building resilience in overcoming both internal and external challenges,” Richardson said.
Summer Classes (ages 2.5-18)
PHD will also host additional classes throughout the summer for students of all levels and interests. Richardson noted that tap is a popular choice in the summer months, as well as pre-ballet, which combines basic techniques with fun elements in a lively setting. In addition, Mommy and Me classes for mothers and toddlers will teach motor and social skills as well as beginning music concepts.
