The Dallas Public Library’s summer reading program is underway, challenging children and adults to read, discover, and create through Aug. 8, reported the Dallas Public Library in a press release.

Children ages 0 to 18 can earn a free book for every 10 days of reading or being read to, up to three books during the summer, made possible by Friends of the Dallas Public Library.

Participants can also earn food coupons by completing discovery and creative activities, with grand prize drawing entries available for those who meet reading and activity goals by the program deadline.

New this year, children can earn an additional prize by completing reading comprehension activities, according to Dallas Public Library’s Smart Summer webpage.

Adults can also earn free books and other prizes by logging reading days and activities throughout the summer. Adults who complete designated reading and activity goals by the deadline will also be entered into a grand prize drawing.

Participants can register through Beanstack at dallaslibrary.beanstack.org or by using the Beanstack app.
