Mother Nature has been pretty reasonable to North Texas this summer and it seems now she’s bestowed upon us one of her greatest gifts: patio season.
The Mansion on Turtle Creek has reintroduced its L’Apéro Patio for the season. As you may know, L’Apéro is a French ritual that allows us to transition from our workday to dinnertime with a few snacks and drinks with people with whom we enjoy spending time.
Its partner in this experience is Perrier-Jouët, the French champagne house known for the white Japanese anemones on its bottles. It just so happens I spent a lovely afternoon last month in the tasting garden of Perrier-Jouët in Epernay, France. If I can’t be there right now, at least I can sip Perrier-Jouët – Belle Époque Brut 2016 on the gorgeous Mansion terrace.
And so can you.
In addition to the champagne, you can enjoy craft cocktails, including spiritless versions, and pre-dinner small bites such as oysters on the half shell, charcuterie and cheese, and caviar and chips. And, fortunately for us, L’Apero extends into the evening so, if your working hours end late, you can still enjoy.
L’Apero runs Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. L’Apero is expected to run through November or when Mother Nature decides it’s time for us to come inside.
