One of my favorite foodie fundraisers is around the corner: DIFFA Dallas’ 17th Annual Burgers + Burgundy takes place Wednesday, October 1, on Glen Lawn at The Village Dallas.
The premise here is really simple — it’s a party and a fundraiser at which top chefs from around town create delicious burgers which are paired with Burgundian wines. Guests visit each chef’s booth, eat said burger, drink said wine. Between bites, you can buy raffle tickets, listen to music, enjoy the gorgeous Village Dallas lawn, and engage in awesome people watching.
Celebrity Chef and meat cook extraordinaire John Tesar has been a longtime supporter of DIFFA Dallas and will once again host this event.
Other burger chefs present will rep: Shinsei/Lovers, Meridian at The Village, Salum, Lion’s Den at The Stoneleigh, Burger Schmurger, Loro Dallas, Saint Martins, and many more.
I attended this event two years ago and personally put away 10 burgers. Impressive or Gross? Maybe both. But the burgers are mini, so it wasn’t as gluttonous as it sounds, plus the event is in a beautiful, expansive setting so I got some steps in while stuffing my face.
This year’s event will also officially kick off a milestone season for DIFFA Dallas, with the organization unveiling its 25th Anniversary Style Council and revealing the highly anticipated theme for the 2027 House of DIFFA during the evening.
Individual tickets are $100, with VIP tickets available for $150. VIP admission includes early entry beginning at 6:30 p.m., exclusive access to the afterparty and complimentary valet. Guests can also participate in a raffle featuring prizes and experiences from participating chefs and restaurants. Raffle tickets are $25 each or five for $100.
