Anchor Sushi Bar will soon serve up its last sushi rolls, fish tacos, and martinis in Preston Hollow.

Anchor Sushi Bar opened at 6025 Royal Lane in 2023, and will close there on May 31, a spokesperson for the restaurant’s parent company, Vandelay Hospitality, says. Vandelay Hospitality has several other restaurant concepts, including Hudson House, D.L. Mack’s, East Hampton Sandwich Co., and others. They operate another Anchor Sushi Bar location on Knox Street.

The menu includes, as the name suggests, lots of sushi roll options, as well as burgers, salads, a grilled chicken sandwich, and more.

A Vandelay spokesperson said the Preston-Royal Anchor Sushi Bar location is slated to be replaced with an El Molino location, likely in July.

El Molino, a Mexican spot that’s also owned by Vandelay, opened a location in Snider Plaza late last year.
