Highland Park ISD and University Park residents can join thousands of swimmers making a splash during the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, at the Holmes Aquatic Center, 3501 Lovers Lane.
The global event dedicated to water safety and drowning prevention brings together people of all ages and skill levels for a fun, life-saving lesson that promotes essential water safety techniques and empowers individuals to enjoy water activities.
Registration for the Holmes Aquatic Center event is free. Swimmers can click HERE to sign up online, or come early and register on site.
Drowning is a leading cause of preventable death, especially for young children. Research shows that formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88% for children ages 1 to 4.
