HIGHLAND PARK
1 Monday
A 23-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant at about 8:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Hawthorne Avenue.
2 Tuesday
A thief stole a woman’s wallet out of the front passenger seat of her unlocked Lexus SUV while she was walking her daughter into school in the 3300 block of Mockingbird Lane at about 8:45 a.m. Then, they used the credit cards inside to go shopping at Target.
A reckless roadster left a Ford F-150 in the 3300 block of St Johns Drive with a broken taillight and dent at about 8:14 p.m., but sped off without leaving information.
A tardy thief broke the driver’s side window of a Ford F-150 and checked an envelope inside for cash at about 10:12 p.m., but they were too late — the car’s owner had already taken the cash into Bank of America in the 5500 block of Preston Road to deposit it.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia, carrying a weapon without a license, attempting to elude a police officer, not having insurance or a driver’s license, and going the wrong way on a one-way street at about 5:52 p.m.

A derelict driver damaged the driver’s side mirror of a vehicle in the 4400 block of Rheims Place before 3:30 p.m., but drove off without leaving identifying information.
A 36-year-old man was arrested for trespassing at about 11:04 a.m. in the 4500 block of Rheims Place.
A sneaky thief stole a backpack containing a MacBook Air and debit card out of a 2024 Cadillac Escalade parked in front of Hush Hush Tan in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue before 5:30 p.m.
A 36-year-old man was arrested for mail theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and not having a valid driver’s license at about 7:11 p.m. in the 4300 block of Versailles Avenue.

A pair of posh thieves stole cargo pants and a T-shirt from Christian Dior, and two purses from Chanel, at about 2:50 p.m. before zooming away from Highland Park Village in their vehicle. The thieves may have been repeat customers — Chanel recognized them from a theft that occurred in the spring.
A negligent operator hit a 2021 Chevy Tahoe in the 4400 block of Highland Drive before 5 p.m., but left the accident without leaving information.
A woman was inside Breathe Meditation and Wellness in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive at about 7:47 p.m. when she received a not-relaxing alert that her car alarm had been activated. A thief had broken a window, and stolen her work backpack, which did not contain any known valuables.

A 57-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated with an invalid license and on multiple warrants at about 1:53 a.m. in the 3600 block of Armstrong Parkway.
