A porch pirate pedaled off on a bicycle with two deliveries that they stole from a home in the 3800 block of Mockingbird Lane at about 8:57 p.m. on Sept. 27, including one package that contained bed sheets.

UNIVERSITY PARK

22 Monday

Bank account fraud was reported at 10:19 a.m. on Lovers Lane.

23 Tuesday

Reported at 8:57 a.m. on Stanford Avenue: A thief stole between $2,500 and $30,000 worth of property on Sept. 18.

Reported at 7:44 p.m.: A burglar targeted a 2019 BMW X5 in a parking lot on Mockingbird Lane.

24 Wednesday

Past property theft on Daniel Avenue was reported at 6:49 p.m.

A 37-year-old man was arrested for theft and on warrants at about 10:12 p.m. on McFarlin Boulevard.

25 Thursday

Quel dommage! An uncouth ruffian broke into Frenchie in The Plaza at Preston Center before 4:58 a.m.

A vehicle on Daniel Avenue was reported burglarized at 8:02 a.m.

Reported at 12:09 p.m.: A thief in the night burglarized a 2016 GMC Denali on Armstrong Parkway.

Reported at 9:25 p.m.: A sneaky thief stole between $100 and $750 of property from CVS on Preston Road.

26 Friday

Reported at 7:34 a.m.: A tricky thief stole the taillights of a 2022 GMC Sierra on Centenary Drive.

HIGHLAND PARK

23 Tuesday

Reported at 2:05 p.m.: A deviant driver took a bite out of the left rear corner of a Volvo SUV while the car’s owner was inside Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village on Sept. 19.

24 Wednesday

Reported at 8:47 a.m.: A license plate plunderer stole the front plate of a Dodge Ram pickup truck while it was parked in the 4500 block of Bordeaux Avenue on Sept. 19.

A 41-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, violating traffic laws for pedestrians, failing to identify himself, and on a felony warrant at about 10:23 p.m. in the 5000 block of Abbott Avenue.

25 Thursday

Reported at 4:32 p.m.: A fraudster opened a high yield savings account with the name and address of a resident of the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue, but never funded the account.

26 Friday

An 18-year-old man was arrested for not having a valid license or insurance at about 12:45 a.m. in the 4500 block of Mockingbird Lane.

27 Saturday

A 26-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container at about 3:49 a.m. in the 4400 block of Mockingbird Lane.
