Reported at 2:14 p.m. on Dec. 5: Spa services are known for stealing customers away from the world around them, but one thief stole from the spa. They took off with between $100 and $750 worth of property from Facelogic Spa on Lovers Lane.

Reported at 9:15 a.m. on Westminster Avenue: A thief stole between $750 and $2,500 in property on Nov. 11.
A woman reported credit card abuse at 10:38 a.m. on University Boulevard.

Reported at 8:42 a.m.: A criminal who may have wanted his beer on draught went on the run with four empty kegs that they stole overnight from outside Bandito’s Tex Mex Cantina in Snider Plaza.
A 66-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at about 10:51 p.m. after a major crash on Preston Road.

Reported at 11:02 a.m.: Theft of between $750 and $2,500 in property from a home on Amherst Avenue on Dec. 2.

Harassment involving unwanted communication by a former employee was reported at 4:19 p.m. on Potomac Avenue.

2 Tuesday
A 37-year-old man was arrested for evading arrest, possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing a controlled substance, and not having bicycle lamps at about 12:59 a.m. in the 4900 block of Abbott Avenue.
Reported at 10:31 a.m.: A greedy grinch stole a makeup bag and Christmas gifts, including four men’s shirts, and On Cloud tennis shoes, from a 2016 Mercedes-Benz that may have been left unlocked on Nov. 30 in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane.
A reckless roadster left a Toyota Grand Highlander leaking blue fluid after hitting the vehicle before 6:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Fairfax Avenue.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at about 12:37 a.m. in the 5700 block of Bush Avenue.
Reported at 8:19 a.m.: A fraudster filed a false unemployment claim on Nov. 10 on behalf of an (employed) resident of the 4500 block of Beverly Drive.
Reported at 5:39 p.m.: A porch pirate stole packages containing an air filter system, replacement filters, and iron supplements from an apartment mail area in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue.
A fundraising fraudster who claimed he was trying to support a football team may have charged $1,000 to the credit card he snatched from a potential donor in the Whole Foods parking lot in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive before 8 p.m.
5 Friday
A speedy swiper stole a Craftsman leafblower and battery at about 1:02 p.m. while the equipment’s owner spent a few minutes inside a home in the 3400 block of Harvard Avenue.
Reported at 1:40 p.m.: A quitting contractor stopped replying to a homeowner and abandoned her job in the 4500 block of Arcady Avenue after she signed a contract and paid him $25,000 to complete work on her pool.
The driver of a pick-up truck who bumped into a Ferrari while backing up in the Highland Park Village parking lot before 8 p.m. at first stopped in the valet area, but then left the scene without leaving information.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at about 1:42 a.m. in the 4000 block of Oak Lawn Avenue.
A 32-year-old man was arrested for failing to identify himself, driving while intoxicated, and on a warrant at about 3:35 a.m. near the intersection of Willowood Circle and Preston Road.
Reported at 5:27 p.m.: A car crook stole a Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 that may have been left unlocked with the key fob inside in the 4600 block of Beverly Drive.
