HPISD Academic Decathlon Team Heads to Nationals

Academic Decathlon students took home a first-place win and numerous individual awards at the state competition

The members of the Highland Park High School Academic Decathlon team, who took home a first-place win in the state competition, will represent their school in the national contest later this week.

The students won the medium school division of the state meet in San Antonio in March. The team’s co-sponsors are David Alvarado and Alex Murchison.

In addition to their overall win, the students won numerous individual awards at the state level. Those were:
