The Highland Park ISD board of trustees June 16 greenlit the district’s proposed 2026-2027 budget.
The 2026-2027 proposed budget projects nearly $86 million in expenditures and nearly $85 million in revenues in the district’s general fund.
At the end of the 2026-2027 school year, district officials said the general fund balance is projected to be just under $45 million.
The district’s projected debt service budget includes just under $41 million in revenue and just under $40,800,000 in expenditures.
The school board is set to approve the 2026-27 tax rate in August after receiving the certified taxable value from the Dallas County Appraisal District.
