Recognition of two Highland Park High School choir students marked a high note for Highland Park ISD trustees at the Sept. 15 board meeting.

Madeline Mayfield and Chelsea Sun, both juniors and sopranos, received Division I ratings at the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest over the summer.

Also during the recognition portion of the meeting, the Park Cities Dads Club presented a $100,000 check to the district. The club raised the funds during the 2026 Teachers Cup golf tournament.
