First-year Highland Park girls cross country head coach Susan Bailey will conduct team tryouts for the three-time defending Class 4A state champions at 6:30 a.m. Monday at Germany Park.
Athletes must have their University Interscholastic League Participation Form (the physical must be on or after May 18), UIL Acknowledgment of Rules Form, UIL Illegal Steroid Use Form, UIL Concussion Acknowledgment Form, UIL Cardiac Awareness Form, and HPISD Athlete Emergency Information Card (available in the athletic department office) turned in before trying out.
The first four of those forms are available on the HPISD website under “Athletics — UIL information.”
Cross country coaches will begin collecting paperwork from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Highlander Stadium. For more information, contact Bailey at 214-780-4029.
