Dallas Rowing Club is sending nine athletes to the USRowing Youth National Championships this week in Sarasota, Florida.
The contingent heading to the prestigious national regatta is the largest in the history of the club, which has its training headquarters at Bachman Lake. The youth team is coached by Wolffe Bonewell, a 2024 SMU graduate, and includes oarsmen from various schools in the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, and the surrounding area.
DRC is one of several Dallas-area organization set to take qualifying boats to nationals, the season-ending event with more than 4,000 athletes across numerous ages and classifications.
