The Lady Scots volleyball team is celebrating another big win, and this one belongs to its coach.
Head volleyball coach Michael Dearman has been named MaxPreps National Coach of the Year. Dearman is only the third Texas coach to receive the honor since the award’s inception in 2008.

The Lady Scots volleyball team made history in November when it brought home the program’s first state championship. The team finished its season in Class 5A Division I with 21 consecutive victories, and swept A&M Consolidated in the championship match.
