The round robin portion of the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League playoffs is underway and Jesuit Dallas is off to a hot start, picking up a pair of wins last week.

On Wednesday, the Rangers outlasted Prosper in a nail-biter that required overtime, 3-2, following a 5-2 win Monday over Frisco to open the postseason.

Maxwell Reynolds provided the heroics in the back-and-forth affair against Prosper, not only netting the game-winner for Jesuit slightly more than 5 minutes into overtime, but also giving the Rangers a 3-2 lead in the third period on a goal assisted by Allen Zhang and Will Hubbell.

Zhang had opened the scoring for Jesuit with a helper from Victor Laos, while Thomas Strand made 18 saves en route to the victory in net.

On Monday, Jesuit rattled off five unanswered goals after spotting Frisco a 2-0 lead midway through the first period.

Wade Bryan had a natural hat trick for the Rangers, cutting the lead in half late in the first period before tying the game at the 14:10 mark of the second period and putting Jesuit in front, 3-2, with 6:25 remaining.
