Roger Nanney, the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s new chairman, hails from Highland Park. The Grinch, a timeless thief with bright green hide, hails from Whoville. And the two will be making an appearance together (so I’m told, so I’m told) outside the performing arts center tonight.

Stick around until 6 p.m. for the tree-lighting ceremony in Sammons Park, which includes a talk from Nanney and live entertainment to kick off Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the Musical.
