Beer jugs, that is. Highland Park Whole Foods’ Bar Alto, similar to the East Dallas Whole Foods’ Lakewood on Tap, will offer 64-ounce growlers of fresh-from-the-tap beer starting tomorrow. Some of it will be local, some of it will be from boutique breweries, all of it will be bubbly and ambrosial.
To put the head on the proverbial mug of fermented deliciousness, Bar Alto will be handing out samples of brews on tap starting at noon, with wine samples, too. Also, you can get your groove on to some live music.
If you’re wondering about the cost breakdown of growlers vs. your typical sixer of high-falutin’ ale, SideDish offers its criticism. Be sure to read the comments, too.
