Ursuline, Parish Take Home Tennis Titles

Thanks to its depth in doubles, Ursuline claimed the 6A girls team title at the TAPPS state tennis tournament, which concluded on Tuesday in Waco.

Ursuline senior Ava Bittner and freshman Coco Quinn earned the girls doubles title with a thrilling three-set win over teammates Nicole Lawrence and Reagan Montgomery, 7-6, 3-6, 10-8.

In boys singles, Parish Episcopal’s Josh Saland secured a three-set victory in the championship match over Plano Prestonwood’s Phoenix Davis, 7-5, 2-6, 10-7. The Panthers were the runner-up in the boys team standings.
