Lady Scots Take Swings for a Good Cause

The Highland Park girls finished 11th in the team standings at the recent Swing for a Cure golf tournament in San Antonio.

In addition to competing for three rounds at Brackenridge Park Golf Club, the Lady Scots raised more than $4,500 for breast cancer research and awareness.

Three HP golfers shot a round of 79 or better in at least one of the three rounds, including a personal best from freshman Jacqueline Zhuang with a second-round 78.

The Lady Scots, along with the HP boys, will return to action at the Fall Four-Ball tournament on Oct. 27-28 at Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Hill.
