Lady Scots Fall to Pearce in 7-6A Opener

Highland Park started the District 7-6A softball schedule with a heartbreaking 10-9 home loss to Richardson Pearce on Tuesday.

The Lady Scots (4-7, 0-1) came up just short despite a 13-hit attack that included extra-base hits from Faith Horner, Cecilia Knutson, and Anna Higgins.

Over the weekend, HP dropped three of five games at the Kaitlin Seidel Memorial Tournament in Richardson. The Lady Scots rolled past Garland Lakeview and Hillcrest but fell to Frisco Heritage, Rowlett, and Mesquite Horn during the three-day event.

Next up, HP will finish tournament play at the Ellis County Invitational, with matchups against Magnolia West, Ferris, Duncanville, Ennis, and West. The Lady Scots will resume the district slate on March 5 at Lake Highlands.
