HP Tops Legacy in Home Tournament Finale
Highland Park gained some momentum heading into the District 7-6A baseball schedule by winning its last game at the Scotland Yard Classic tournament on Saturday.
The 7-3 victory over Midland Legacy capped an up-and-down weekend for the Scots in their annual home event, which featured dozens of teams scattered across six venues over three days.
HP will start the 16-game district slate on Tuesday at Lake Highlands, with the rematch slated for Wednesday at Scotland Yard.
The Scots (4-8-2) also earned a win over Lovejoy in the tournament opener, tied Round Rock, and suffered narrow losses to Midland and El Paso Eastwood.
