The Catholic Foundation Award Dinner will honor former Catholic trustee Win Bell on February 20 next year as the 44th annual award recipient.
Bell, a Preston Hollow resident whose career spans four decades in transportation, construction, and capital projects, worked in support of Catholic schools and nonprofit organizations across North Texas.
With a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and mathematics, along with a master’s degree in computer science, Bell became a trusted advisor to the Catholic Foundation and has helped almost 20 educational institutions in Dallas.
“Win’s a truth teller who won’t sunshine it up to make somebody feel good. He’s honest, full of integrity and well respected,” said Notre Dame of Dallas School’s President Dr. Caroline O’Brien.
Though retired, Bell has continued to serve as a representative for schools throughout the area and beyond. The Shelton School, the nation’s largest independent for intellectually gifted students with learning differences, holds significance for him as a longtime trustee.
“His expertise helps us avoid costly mistakes and ensures we’re good stewards of every dollar entrusted to Shelton,” said Shelton Executive Director Suzanne Stell. “His business sense, knowledge of construction, and dedication to Shelton have been invaluable.”
For more than four decades, the Catholic Foundation Award has recognized extraordinary individuals whose service has advanced their values in North Texas, and Bell looks to continue that tradition when he’s honored.
