Dallas 24 Hour Club Hosts Tea for Recovery

Dallas 24 Hour Club hosted its inaugural Tea for Recovery June 22 and raised about $35,000 for addiction recovery.

The tea was hosted by Steven and Jennifer Reynolds inside the historic Alexander Mansion on Ross Avenue. The concept came from Dr. M. Joan Terry and her daughter, Rev. Tiffany Wright, who share a love for traditional tea parties.

Funds raised from the event assist Dallas 24 Hour Club in its mission to provide transitional living, support services, and essential life skills for homeless alcoholics and addicts to embrace long-term sobriety. Funds also go toward operating costs for Friends of the 24, the Dallas 24 Hour Club alumni.

Dallas 24 Hour Club plans to make this an annual event, with the next rendition coming next year around Mother’s Day. For more information about the organization, visit Dallas24HourClub.org.
