Scots Split Games at Opening Tournament

After starting with two wins, Highland Park dropped its final three games at the 380 Invitational baseball tournament over the weekend.

The Scots (2-3) began the season-opening event in Prosper with victories over Sachse and Southlake Carroll on Feb. 23. The following day, HP fell to Prosper and Cedar Park Vista Ridge.

With a Feb. 25 loss to Plano, the Scots scored only two runs combined in their three defeats against elite competition.

They will return to tournament play on Thursday in McKinney with games against Anna and Keller Fossil Ridge. The action will shift to Little Elm on Friday for matchups with Little Elm and Frisco Reedy before heading back to McKinney on Saturday a clash with Denison.
