Scots Remain in Contention in Tight 7-6A

Highland Park bounced back after consecutive losses with one of its most convincing wins of the boys basketball season on Tuesday.

The Scots topped Irving 76-32 to remain in a second-place tie in the District 7-6A standings behind league leader Richardson. HP fell to Richardson Pearce and the Eagles in its previous two games.

HP now faces a showdown with Lake Highlands on Friday in a key matchup to determine potential playoff seeding. Richardson is in control atop the standings, while the Scots are battling with the Wildcats along with Jesuit Dallas and Pearce for the final three postseason spots.
